Annemaria and Stuart Boomer Davies have a 15 year old
success on their hands, and have worked very hard to achieve it.
The Swag & Tails is in one of London's prettiest and most exclusive
neighbourhoods, the type we would all like to live in if we could afford
it. It is worth a visit if only to admire the mews houses with their brightly
painted doors and pretty postage stamp fron gardens which look as if they're
straight from the pages of Town and Country.
It is only a few minutes by foot to Harrods and the bustle of Knightsbridge
shopping, but this attractive pub/restuarant seems miles away. Relax in
a high wing back chair in front by the tile framed fire place and sip your
imported wine or beer. There will be no pinball machines, no rowdies, and
no invasive music to disturb your reverie.
The menu roams the globe, and I honestly wondered how the kitchen could
turn out the United Nations inspired fare. With only a few exceptions everything
I tried was good and something I would order again.
